This is a completely unadulterated unabused Corrado. I have most of the paper
work for everything thats ever been done to this car...I even still have the window
sticker.
It has always had
synthetic Mobil One and Red Line transmission fluid. It has never seen a winter
and it has 0 rust. Oil has always been changed on time and its always still clean
when I drain it. This is a great running VR6 and it has somehow slipped through
the typical Corrado problem track. The sunroof operates perfectly, 2nd gear does
not grind [typical problem with these cars]. It has never been in any accidents.
The heater core was replaced 2 summers ago by a dealer, under a recal. While putting
the dashboard in, they broke the windsheild, so that is virtually new.
The car is completely stock with the exception of a stainless steel TT exhaust which
I put on this past summer. It also has a K&N drop in filter.
This car has been babied since it was new and has never been beat on by a teenager.
When I was shopping for Corrados
back in the day, I looked at at least 12 of them before I bought this one.
Some of the others were significantly cheaper and had fewer miles, but most of
them were modified in some way...and any car that is modified has probably been
driven hard.
I bought the car with 128,000 miles on it. In the past 3 years
that I've owned it, I've put 13,000 miles on it. I pretty much only drive
it on nice sunny days. The car currently has ~140,000 miles on the
clock, but it drives & handles like it just came off the assembly
line.
So why am I selling it? Well, I've recently caught 911 fever. I just bought
two 911s and I also have a 1990 Jetta TDI [swap] a 1987 project Cabriolet and
a 1990 Jetta GLI as a daily driver. The Corrado falls in a sore
spot...I don't want to drive
it every day and spoil it, but when I want to go out and have fun, I want to take
my 911. |
